It should be noted that you can access any American Airlines lounge on arrival provided you hold OneWorld Sapphire (e.g. Qantas Gold) or better status and are travelling on American or a OneWorld Partner airline like Alaskan.

Note: For US airports you’ll need to be coming in from a U.S. domestic flight or a flight from a country that has U.S. precedence like Canada or Ireland.

Qantas does not offer lounge access on arrival as a benefit of flying Business or First Class. But frequent flyers with Platinum, Platinum One or Chairmans Lounge status may visit any Qantas domestic Business lounge after arriving on a Qantas or Jetstar flight.
...
Note that for Qantas domestic lounges, Qantas Platinum arrivals access is avalable, not just after Qantas or Jetstar flights, but also after travel on any Emirates (EK), China Eastern (MU) or a oneworld member airline marketed and operated flight number. This includes guesting.

This acess is somewhat similar to access for departures.

Domestic lounges

Unwind with increased privacy or access business services before or after your eligible flights in the following loungesΩΩ:

When accessing the domestic lounges, you may bring two guests and up to two children aged 4 to 17 years. Guests need to be travelling on a Qantas, Jetstar, oneworld or eligible partner-marketed and operated flight that same day.
ΩΩ Lounge access eligibility is based on a customer's class of travel, Qantas Club membership, Qantas Frequent Flyer or oneworld membership tier, or partner airline benefit. Access to Qantas lounges is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Club. Arrivals: Platinum and Platinum One Qantas Frequent Flyer members may access Qantas Domestic Business or Qantas Club lounges upon arrival, if you have travelled that day on any flight with a Qantas (QF), Jetstar (JQ, 3K or GK), Emirates (EK), China Eastern (MU) or a oneworld member airline marketed and operated flight number on your ticket. Departures: Eligible customers may access a Qantas Club lounge when their next onward flight on the same day is with a Qantas (QF) or Jetstar (JQ, 3K or GK) flight number on their ticket. Eligible customers who are travelling in Business or First, are Platinum, Platinum One Qantas Frequent Flyers or oneworld Emerald membership tiers, may access Qantas Domestic Business lounges. Partner and Associated lounge access is subject to various conditions of entry.

The American Airlines Arrivals Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3 used to accept Qantas Business and Qantas First passengers, I used it in the past and it was a good experience to collect luggage and then have a hot shower, change into clean clothes and have a full English Breakfast in that Lounge before hopping on the Heathrow Express. That could also be just what you need after a Qantas Project Sunrise flight

I rarely use it but sometimes after you've flown into a major city from regional it's good to grab a bite if there wasn't much on offer at the departure town. Or if you're landing late into a city and know by the time you get to your hotel you can't be bothered heading out again or the city will be dead. That's when it's worth stopping in for a bite and drink, then head to collect luggage.

The UA/AC arrivals lounge (operated by UA) at LHR T2 is very welcome. Only small, but plenty of showers, and a small but interesting breakfast buffet plus a periodically changing a la carte menu. Open 0600–1400 daily. Turn left immediately out of the arrivals area and it's right there just around the corner. A very nice place to visit if you have an early arrival and have a long wait to get into your hotel.

I did use the AA lounge a couple of times.

Before that, BA flew from LHR T4, their arrivals lounge was available to Qantas passengers in First & Business. I used that a few times.
