Thank you for this! Does it last as long as the certificates requested otherwise through the other cantons?
I don't have an answer to that, unfortunately but I assume the answer would be yes.

My non-Geneva Swiss pass was requested the same day I got my booster and all was fine. So no reason to wait! That's a great update, thanks. Hopefully the free Geneva pass option remains until next week when I get my booster...does anyone know if you have to wait a certain number of days after your booster before submitting the certificate and it being considered "valid"? Or can you just submit straight away and they just record all doses on the certificate?

I looked into this but seems you need to have a NZ health record similar to medicare for Australia...So anecdotally I've heard of another possible option to get an EU pass issued. NZ uses the EU DCC system for their My Vaccine Pass and there doesn't seem to be any residency requirement or charge to get them to issue you one based on your overseas vaccine cert. Plus it can all be done online. Says it can take up to 10 working days to happen.
I haven't actually tried this myself but a look at their page online seems to suggest it should work no problems. You might get a few odd looks using it in Europe as it'll have New Zealand emblazoned on the top of it, but the QR code will be totally valid and should work just fine.COVID-19

It's the domestic NZ one (called My Vaccine Pass) that is the EU compliant one and you can get overseas administered vaccines added to that one.I looked into this as I received my first vaccine doses in New Zealand. I believe the NZ certificate can only show doses that you received in New Zealand (i.e. I can't get the booster I received in Australia added to my NZ international certificate).

I think their international one is much like ours, only useful at the border really.
I think you're right, I've gotten them back to front.I think it's the other way around. My Vaccine Pass is only useful within NZ and the international one can be used in Europe.
Happy to be corrected if I've got this wrong.

You no longer need an International Travel COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate for travelling overseas.covid19.govt.nz
Yep. The NZ international vax pass cannot be used in NZ: only overseas. My NZ local vax pass had issues and the international was not scanable in NZ. Re issue of the NZ local vax pass solved that issueFWIW, I got my My Vaccine Pass this morning and it specifically says it is only for use in New Zealand.
It also expires after 4 months.
Just confirming, my partner requested a certificate through the free Geneva option, and it has come back just the same as the one that I did through the paid process. Took 2-3 days.I don't have an answer to that, unfortunately but I assume the answer would be yes.
I’m going to give this a go tomorrow.Just confirming, my partner requested a certificate through the free Geneva option, and it has come back just the same as the one that I did through the paid process. Took 2-3 days.
It has no expiry date and is only subject to the rules each country might have about the length of time since the last shot. I understand the EU standard to be 9 months but some countries might have shorter.
Great, no reason not to based on the experience we had.I’m going to give this a go tomorrow.
Maybe! That's why jump on it now IMO.Surely at some point the Swiss will get fed up of all these cert requests?
The free option may well go. I’m sure they’ll be happy to issue the CHF 30 one for a few clicks on a mouse into the Canton’s coffers.Surely at some point the Swiss will get fed up of all these cert requests?
