Great article, thanks Matt. I've got a stack of Avios, which I used to use alot for flights ex DRW (sweet spot for me), but when E190's started I wondered what to do - I didn't realise this was possible - thanks for your help.

“Then, if you can see award availability on a QantasLink flight that you wish to book, call British Airways Executive Club. From Australia, you can call 1300 767 177. You’ll most likely get through to British Airways’ call centre in India.”

Has anybody had any success doing this?

I haven’t tried the BAEC call centre for a few years now but they’ve rarely impressed me with their ability to get things done. But I’ve never tried calling them to book a QantasLink flight.

Once booked, is it possible to change the FF# associated with the booking so that you can earn Qantas SCs through Points Club?
