If the Prestige tier offers unlimited lounge visits, how does PP prevent abuse and limit daily usage?

If I departed from Airport X (say 2 lounges and 3 restaurant offers) and landed at Airport Y (say 3 lounges and 4 restaurants), is there a system in place that prevents me from visiting all 5 lounges and collecting 7 take-away meals all on the same day using the same boarding pass?

I think that for most people the novelty of doing that will wear off quickly.

Not that I've seen. Have done 5 venues on 1 BP

I'll also add that practically no one looks at the boarding pass. They just ask for your flight number. So if you're sending someone off...

You can do this. This also applies for when you're QF WP and at an international airport there are different one world emerald lounges that you can visit - I've visited a few in one go, just to check them out.

I'll be passing through quite a few domestic/international airports in 2025 and a rough cost-benefit analysis suggests I'd easily benefit from the Prestige pass if I used it at each departure/arrival airport.

I think that for most people the novelty of doing that will wear off quickly.

Agreed. I suspect I'd tail off PP usage after a few months in.

You do get the odd one who gets all funny about it. Peroni at the Syd Intl terminal gave me a bit of a lecture (“you can only use it once, your friend needs to show their boarding pass”). The noddle place at T3 also denied a guest if I didn’t show a boarding pass (I’d run over from T2 to grab takeaway and left them in the lounge). Even when they text their boarding pass to me the dragon still said “no they are not here”

Hi , fellow AFFs,I will soon have some transit hours in Dubai with an airline that I do not have lounge access. I plan to use my Priority Pass access, just wondering if anyone can recommend which lounge on the PP list to use in Terminal 3.

Visited Pope Joan at MEL T1 today. Unsure if any relation to the Pope Joan cafe outside Sofitel on Collins that went into liquidation last year.

A few Google reviews were scathing of the service - but the young bloke who served us was on the ball and the food was very good by airport standards. Two mains and a juice for $0.60 after Priority Pass.

Also visited Luke's Bistro on arrival in Sydney and picked up some takeaway salads - good to have it as an option now!

Can I ask a dumb question after having read about the complimentary priority pass membership with Amex Platinum charge. As the PP membership in lieu of Amex Platinum Charge card is PP Prestige membership , are we allowed to use the restaurant benefit or is it just for the paid memberships. Apologies , if that is already mentioned in the article as it was not very clear to me and have an upcoming travel this week , hence clarifying. TIA

Noted thank you Serfty, I will check on flyertalk. I have done the rather crowded Al Maha ( 4/10 at least, the coffee and showers were good) and the Oryx ( 6.5/10) at Hamad. I did the crowded Etihad business lounge at Zayed a couple of years ago. Also the Marhaba , first time I have been through DXB in a decade plus.

Is it $36 + $36 across two bills, or $72 for the two of you on the one bill?

FYI Mach2 is before immigration & security. It's a good option if someone is coming along to farewell you.

The House

I quite like the House, I'd put it about on par with QF J. Smaller but has a much better view. Can get crowded at times. I've read sometimes they want a co-pay on top of the Priority Pass? Not sure what the deal is there, probably wouldn't pay extra to go in.

Plaza Premium is tiny but has a reasonable offering for its size. It's often closed and Priority Pass or Plaza Premium guests are directed to the Skyteam lounge which is directly below - much bigger, about the same F&B, can sometimes be a zoo.

In the PP website, it has the following caveats for The House:

"PREMIUM OFFERING: Access to Premium brand alcohol, À la carte menu and shower facilities is available to Cardholders using a standard visit allocation and an additional upgrade fee of AUD$20 per person that is payable directly to the lounge at time of entry."

The last time I had A la carte from The House was just prior COVID on VA J. It was great. However, I really don't know if it is worth paying $20 to have A la carte meal when I can just have it at Mach2 or Peroni for free!

What kind of lectures did they give you on using PP? All I know is that I am entitled to $36 worth of F&B?

I normally drink 1 beer only and then some non-alcoholic drinks. I will be flying CX so the gate is most likely between 8 - 37 (closer to QF Lounges).
