Article: Qatar Airways Adds Caviar in Business Class

I'm on the right time of day this time, but nothing. LHR-DOH. I'm told it is ex-DOH only.

This announcement is such a non announcement.

Paragraph 2 of Matt's article says this: Qatar Airways Business Class passengers are in for a treat when flying between Doha and 13 destinations, including Melbourne and Sydney.

It also says later (perhaps not direct quoted from QR) that this is a list of destinations to/from Doha that has this course.

There has either been some inaccuracies or misunderstandings between QR and this article, or the hype is not being reflected in operations for whatever reason (could have been "enhanced" since the initial press release), or crew are coveting the caviar on some routes (should be much harder to do so since printed menus would clearly show the caviar available).

I suspect something was lost in translation with the media release as it is apparent that flights from DOH may have it but not others.

The staff were very clear that they do not do it unless the flight is FROM Doha.

Absolutely incorrect and sounds like the crew are telling you porkies
Nope- I think it’s actually spot on from all I hear and read. Ex-Doha only and not on late night flights (though I’m not sure where the cut off is as a friend of mine got it on a 2:10am scheduled departure out of DOH).

Recently did Doha to Nice business and not on the menu.
Didn't bother us as we had it on a F flight a few days before and I guess Nice is not seen as a headline route.
Everything about the food and beverages on the flight was great.
I am a Port lover but they always seem to serve it in a chilled glass.
On the F Flight the CSM took away my cold glass port and ran warm water over one of the chilled glasses and then poured the port into it.
She got three other CM's to observe as I explained that the port served correctly will have a runny honey look to it within the glass.
I am no wine snob by any means but it is not nice to get a cold glass port.
She said she would pass it on to customer service management.
Be interesting to see if they act upon it and get this sort of thing taught in training.
