Article: The Benefits of Sitting at the Back of the Plane

Iā€™ve heard UMs and prisoners  are to be found at the backā€¦ although the couple of times I ended up there, due to a last minute flight change, I havenā€™t sat near either!

If you want to be close to the toilets sit at the back, im very happy to be seated well away from them given wont be using them on anything under 10 hours, and at worst once on a longer flight.

It's not just the smells from the toilets but the constant stream of chatty passengers standing over you waiting in line, often bumping your armrest, noise/light from doors opening and closing.

If boarding from both doors, having a seat in back half also means you need to walk out into weather and climb up stairs to rear door instead of via the aerobridge at front.

Plus you are last to be served meals almost guaranteeing they will have run out of your preferred option by the time they get to you; and on short flights have the least time to eat that meal.

Being at the back is all downside and no upside imo.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a policy of paid customer only usage of facilities at a cafe or restaurant.

If you haven't made a purchase then you need to go and find an actual public toilet.

There is a cost for the cafe/restaurant to clean facilities only an entitled brat would expect to use private facilities for free.
