Article: Why I Send Airlines Compliments for Great Service

Last year, I was living in Tanzania and had to fly home suddenly as my dad was critically ill. My flight with Qatar was a little delayed once already boarded, and I was super stressed because I already had a tight connection in Doha. The flight attendant who was handing out snacks and drinks saw that I was upset. She was incredible.

I contacted Qatar when I arrived home and wanted to pass on my gratitude to this crew member, and explained that I had been flying for a family emergency and was quite emotional. They clearly spoke to the crew member concerned because when they replied to thank me for my feedback, they also passed on their best wishes to my dad and my family and hoped that he recovered soon. They also said my message had been passed on to the team supervisor.

My dear dad always taught us that if you can take the time to criticise and complain, you should also take the time to compliment when warranted.
