It's pretty clear that "coming soon" on the website doesn't actually mean anything.

In the same way, for how long has the Singapore Airlines redemption page on the Velocity website stated that "We are working closely with Singapore Airlines to restart Reward Seat redemptions in First Class." It must be a couple of years?
 
Why waste your points on them when their fares are so cheap at the moment? They are your best opportunity to rack up points if you happen to go to China, not that many people are going anyway.

Flights to China are really well priced currently. More options to spend points is never bad though

Hainan often offers round trip J to various cities in China from MEL/SYD via HAK for ~2k AUD. +100 AUD for the visa if you need one its still very attractive for a mileage run that will yield close to 400 SC.
