I am looking to get my family of 4 from Singapore or Hong Kong to Sydney in J class. I can achieve it with QFF from Singapore but very attracted to getting us on CX from Hong Kong. Both Qantas and Asia Miles show a max of 2 seats available on flights I am looking at. I am wondering if I could redeem two from each (i.e. Qantas and Asia Miles)?? Or could it be possible they are the one and the same award seats? I can waitlist the other two but I am going to need some certainty. I have points banked with Amex I can send either way.

? Same flight

Check with EF and you can tell if QF has more than 2 (unlikely)

If only 2 shown on EF and same flight, then you know the answer.

You could look at two pax on QF while the other two on QF, only a few hours apart !

Yes. Same flight. But both QF and Asia Miles show only two available. Do you mean Expert Flyer? Sorry Im new to all this. I did give EF a cursory check out must investigate further!

Looks like the same two seats to me.

If you want, let me know the flight details and I will look up EF for you (PM if you wish).

might be worth splitting your group up if you can confirm everyone onto 2 flights then keeping an eye on the preferred flight and doing a date change later to bring everyone together

CX reopens final award availability about 4 weeks before I believe
