Hi all,

am I missing something re the Amex Business Accelerator card??

every since Amex changed their points system, I have been using the Westpac Altitude amex fro points earn, which gives me $1 = 3 attitude points = 1.5 Asia Miles points. no capping.

which is better than the Amex Plat Charge which is 1 RP to $1 = 1 Asia Miles Points.

I jsut came across the Business Accelerator Card, for $160 p.a

I get 2 Points per $1 spend (100k points cap) on anything other than utilities and ATO, and the Ascent Rewards Program still allows me to transfer points to Asia Miles at 1:1 ??

doesnt it make this the best Asia Miles points earner?? at $1 to 2 Asia Miles??

and am I missing out on anything with Ascent instead of Ascent Premium?? (I still have a Plat Charge so I stil have Ascent Premium and other benefits, but I put a lot of business expenses hence a business card makes sense)

please help. i am sure I have mis-read something....

Is the business accelerator card an AMEX product?

The $160 fee needs consideration though in relation to the points cap.

Yes. It is. It's a Small Biz card.
The $160 barely warrants consideration. If you max the 100K points cap you'll have paid 0.16c/point.

The more important question is, if you have a Plat Charge and thereby Ascent Premium, would your Business Accelerator points go to Ascent Premium rather than Ascent?

When they changed the card to be an Ascent card it made it awesome. You haven't missed anything. I don't know why more people aren't talking about it. The only restriction is needing an ABN to get it.

You get 10,000 points if you are referred for the card, which helps offset some of the first year's $160 annual fee.

have a reserve that i was gonna cancel, i'm going to apply for this but, happy to take a referral

Hi Everyone,

I'm a long time lurker and first time poster, and am grateful for all the good info on this site. Now I'm wondering if anyone would like to refer me for this card - is this even possible now with the Facebook requirement? (I don't think I can do PM's yet either).

Cheers.

Happy to help you out. I'll scrape a link from a dunmy Facebook referral and PM it to you :)

Thanks very much for the quick replies, very impressive! I have sent PM to Hammando.
