At what age did you enroll your child in a frequent flyer programme?

I'm just curious?

18mths - for QFF though I couldn't do it direct with Qantas they wouldn't take it until he was 2 - I got it via one of the morning show that had QFF points give aways - I wanted it as he flew just after he turned 2 on a paid seat and I hate leaving things to last min.

last year, 6yrs and 3yrs - courtesy of a freebie offer from QF.

Now I have a dilemma regarding the points they've earnt...

4 kids, first two born in UK, registered as QFF when took first flight back to the UK after migration. Second two kids registered ( paid rego prior to EDR) just before 2nd birthday.

15months (first trip he had his own seat which we had to pay for, as could not risk 12hr flight and not having one for him) now getting ready to pinch his points.
in hindsight should have booked companion seat, and earned the x2 ff points and status credits, then if he was nice let him sit in the seat

At the age of three, just before their first trip on QF Back then you had to pay a joining fee, so left it as late as possible.

I think I paid a joining fee of $30 way back when the youngest was four. He's now 23!

Which means he may have been a member longer than many of the AFF'ers. :-)

Well I've just signed my son up at 11 months with QFF via Woolworth's EDR, not that he will be earning any points until he is occupying his own seat at 2.

Just now after reading this thread! Free using some TODAY show promo link from last year. He's eleven!

Not so much a Child, but signed up my Mother-in-law, she is 60+ doesn't use email or computers and doesn't even know what a FF programme is.
But whenever she comes to visit here from overseas I put her FF number in her bookings then once a year do a family points transfer, normally get around 20-25k points a year.

Naughty. :)

From memory, they were 7 days old (now 6yrs old).

Tried to get consequitive numbers for the twins but eventually gave up. Best I could do was three apart, ie. xx_xx_5 & xx_xx_8.

1 day for my first, a week or two for the second.

I remember signing my daughter up within a few hours of her birth, when mum & bub were having a nap. She got sick of being a lap-child not long after her 1st birthday so she started earning points and SCs pretty early - she should make LTG before she finishes high school.

I signed my youngest up when he was about 12 hours old. Wanted to use a free promo code I had before it expired.

I signed up all my neices and nephews recently using the Jetstar promotion - mostly their parents couldn't be bothered. They're all under 6. And just signed up my 87 year-old Grandmother for her first international trip ever to UK.
