Its a Sony DSC HX90V; fits in my pocket.

I agree with JohnM; don't let lack of known company stop you going; in our group of 11, there were 5 singles.

Same as my camera but yours looked great - do you mainly use it on automatic?

And I'm not sure about those steep windy stairs - not my strong point - ok going up but don't cope well coming down

I have the same camera and only use it on full 'intelligent' automatic - point it in the general direction and hope for the best! One thing I do like about this camera (apart from the pocket size) is the viewfinder. It often saves me having to put on my reading glasses to see the image in the screen.

There are not massive numbers of stairs, but they are unusual in each step being so high. Some of our group opted not to climb them. You would miss only a bit.

The viewfinder comes in handy when you smash your screen as well!!

Yes, either the green or gold auto (but I rarely use the viewfinder). For the really 'special' pics, I wash the images through Lightroom and for all of them, I pre-reduce to 1200x900 pixels and then upload to AFF. That way the AFF software doesn't automatically squeeze the files down and I think they present a little bit better.
