ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Anyone got this recently ? I had it today:

We have noticed some unusual transactions attempted on your EBP account and therefore your account has been temporarily disabled. We would like to rectify this matter quickly so you can continue to use your account. Therefore we are asking you to provide evidence that you are the authorised cardholder of the facilities you are using. To do so please provide a copy of your driver’s license and a copy of each card used showing your name and the last four digits of each card used for your Easy Bill Pay transactions. You can take a photo of these and send to Easy Bill Pay.
We appreciate your assistance.

Regards
Easy Bill Pay

Disregard this as it is phishing. Banks do not ask for these details

It doesn't hurt to be careful, but there are plenty of Financial Institutions that for various legitimate reasons will ask for soft copies of identification and/or basic information such as last 4 digits of a CC.

It's when you have to click odd-looking links, and/or are asked to provide usernames or passwords that should trigger the red flag.

@bbqwer any uh, odd spending patterns? High or frequent txs? Your opinion, of course. My latest EBP payment cleared this morning without issues.

No, but if I receive a message like that I'll be asking them to clarify what they mean by 'unusual transactions attempted on your EBP account'.

My account was locked this morning when I tried to login, I only received this when I enquired as to why. I have sent id and c/card info showing last 4 digits only as requested. Two cards I have been using are in my wife’s name so sent her id as well, will see how they respond.
I understand the reason I may have been flagged and am surprised I haven’t been asked to verify my id sooner

I recieved the msg after 4pm today. I also use one of my partners cards, so provided everything as requested, explaining that I also use(d) her card.

100% honest, including id details for both of us.

I hope it doesn't end so soon! I've been on a pointy roll ;)

Saw the QBR email for B2Bpay and 2k bonus points for payment to every new biller of at least $3k.
Tried to look at the rates and can't find anything on their website.
Has anyone used them to pay ATO? If so, what is the fee?

Just waiting for funds to arrive into two credit cards to finish off October ATO and then next month it will be a land tax bill from hell.

I've got another PAYG instalment due in a few weeks but unfortunately casino got first crack. Points will take a back seat this quarter. Collecting cans and bottles to pay debt.
