Auckland to Manchester with Dubai Stopover

Hi..

I am looking at booking flights to Manchester on the 5th July... Staying in Dubai for 3 nights (the wife wants a new ring!!) and then off to Manchester, staying till the 2nd August... On the return leg - I will get off in Sydney leaving wife and daughter to go to Auckland.

So looked at ticket cost and it over 10k NZD for flights...

I have 125,000 QF frequent flyer points, so looking at award booking for one seat.. Can't see seats all the way but can see free flights both sides of dubai...

am a WP so would that assist in getting seats release ? If I get one can I put my wife on it

Awards seats on QF (and many other airlines) are along way from "free". Look carefully at the cash needed for fees/taxes/surcharges
Why not pay cash for SYD to AKL on the way back ?
