Shame about the denied dismissal of Kohli on zero. Awesome work from Smith for no reward. As a one-eyed supporter I think it was out, but I can see the sliver of doubt that resulted in the 3rd umpire giving it not out. Last thing we need is an(other) excuse for the Indian team and supporters to claim they've been robbed in what has otherwise been a very tightly-fought and entertaining series.

As positive as this start has been today for the Aussies, I refuse to get too excited until we've batted on the same pitch as I don't think it's a particularly easy batting surface.

Yes, I agree, imo he should tone it down just a little, doubt Khawaja would not have been overly happy with him...

Konstas needs to learn to be a test cricketer not a Big Bash whacker.

That's the trouble these days. He's opening. So a different role. I like watching him and MrP is telling me all the new batting terms for the 20 hit wonder game. Ramping. . Using the bat to lift the ball rather than hitting it. But the mouth might get in the way. Shut the mouth and play the game. Simples.

That comment about the batters is what was touted as causing a rift in the team when one of the bowlers made a reference but MrP said the bowler is just a down to earth country guy who meant no harm.

We always count how many overs before Smith requires new batting gloves. It's usually within the first four or so overs of when he arrives. Without fail.

Been annoying me for ages. Why is is that India are allowed an extra 6 men outside the boundary to field the ball after a 4/6 saving the fielder from bothering to run for it? Surely ICB should restrict handling the ball to selected onfield players?
