I do understand where you are coming from Pushka.residential Aged Care is what everyone regards as a nursing home.Retirement villages are not the same thing neither is repite or short term care.It is a total red herring to suggest all can have Covid clusters.but of course there are covid clusters in abbatoirs, prisons and hotels etc but that doesn't make them residential aged care facilities.Given that COVID may not be the cause of death then many factors come into play. And no one leaves Aged Care unless they have passed. The death rates of aged have declined with COVID.
However there are instances where people can leave aged care.First if there is a wrong diagnosis.I can remember at least 2 that i have treated and they got back to living with family-sad as their homes had been sold to get in.
Then there are others that do just walk out from Aged care Residential facilities. But then they end up as frequent flyers in the hospital system. But really they are the exceptions to prove the rule.
