I was travelling to Japan for work some years ago and on my previous visit I'd seen that rockmelons were about $80 each(!!) I looked into taking some from here but Japan has similar quarantine for F&V to us so it was a no-go.

Possibly although they didn't look any different from ours except for their perfect skin. I saw watermelon was amazingly expensive too.

I did get some strawberries when I was there - they were relatively cheap - and they were the best strawberries I've ever eaten.

But back to souvenirs...

Pawpaw cream is popular among my relatives as well, along with Codral Cold and Flu tablets and White Eyes *lol* Sounds weird, but nothing similar is old were they live, there is simply no real relief for colds and congestion except for nasal spray.
