Crossing the Qld/NT border, lunch under the trees at Tobermorey Station about 5 km inside the NT and their mustering R-22s.

Camped last night at Jervois Station about 200 km into the NT.

Nice ghostgum, sunrise, full moon over camp, sun rising behind me while moon is setting this morning, ASP from the war memorial hill.

After two nights in a motel in ASP, we headed W on the Mereenie Loop to Kings Canyon. Overnight camping there and out on the 6.5 km rim walk this morning.

Steep climb to start, then a cruisy walk. Stunnng scenery.

Now aft Uluru/Ayers Rock for two nights. Min sunset viewing over dinner tomorrow night.

Just back from a helicopter ride over Uluru and The Olgas. Departed from the airport and returned to the town landing pad.

We leave Yulara in the morning, heading W with a stop at Kata Tjuta for the walk before making a beeline for the WA border. It may be a bush camp tomorrow night if the road is slow going and we can't make Warburton before dark.

Then Laverton for one night (probably the next comms) before KGI for the last two nights and back in PER about 1700 h Tuesday.

I'd agree with that, even woke up to a frost on the atherton tablelands this morning.. So much for the tropics.

How many days left of the adventure John?

Wish I'd read this last week. We were probably on the same CNS flight!
 
Now at Giles Met. Station and network access. Also a flat tyre to change.
