Hi Flyers!

I hope you've all had a great Easter Holidays!

@jb747 inspired me to start this thread :) - finally got around to it.

What would be your (uncompromising) wishlist for Australia's newest airline, if it were to launch in the (very) near future!?

I'll go first - no more price hikes for holidays or last minute bookings!

Cheers,
T.

Are the rules of this conversation stuff which we believe might be commercially viable, or can we chuck stuff in that we'd love but which we know would result in near immediate financial disaster?

Absolutely! No rules, this is a wishlist remember - let's just go for it.

OK then ... I want the new airline to operate high speed rail services between the biggest east-coast population centres (Adelaide through to Sunshine Coast).

It’s an all-J airline at Y prices, with fully-equipped lounges in all destination airports that have enough capacity to comfortably entertain all passengers. The same lounges are arrival lounges.

Transfers to & from the airport are included, this covers public transport for those with the conscience & the time to use it. In fact, passengers can pay for an all-transport product, this covers non-driving transport across pretty much any modes you can think of (leccy-bike ride to the station to catch the train to the airport to fly to your destination airport where you’re transferred to the final destination - and this is all seamlessly covered by your monthly payment).

Wow this awesome - given the cost per seat per flight of to and from transport, this wouldn't actually be a massive add on to overall price. Great idea @Forg

A new airline that flies to most regional area. I want a Newcastle to Perth flight or Mackay to Broome and lay flat beds in J please! no 737s
A star alliance member would be nice too

Much better food in domestic (and international) lounges. Australia is a country of high quality food, what goes on in our airport lounges is embarrassing.
Oh come on now, you’re being over critical. What’s not to love about the sloppy butter chicken you often find in the QF international J lounges (well MEL anyway) which also serves a dual role as lounge entertainment - you can play a game of “find the chicken piece” as you serve it out.

Doesn't Bonza do some of those regional routes you want??

The trouble with some of these wishlist items is that I would also like an airline that was financially stable enough that I could trust that if I bought a ticket they would still be in business when it came time to take the flight.
