I find that Avis in Europe (booking on the AU website) with my AWD are usually the most competitive.

Just booked a rental at Keflavik airport and none of the others, including the locals, came close. However I never check Hertz since they tried to rip me off with their "pre-existing damage" scam at SYD Intl.

Well I have a new CDP from Hertz so Avis have now lost this and another booking.

I have have a Megane RS from Hertz instead of an SV6 from Avis for $240 vs $290

and a Ranger XLT from hertz for $370 instead of an Xtrail from Avis for $540.
