For partner award travel, and with references to 75000 ff points and 15000 miles, I take it this is for economy class.
Quite right!

Would it be correct that for business class, and for 15000 miles, one needs 139000 ff points?f
Right again!

Very interesting for me and I am learning a lot from you folks.
Welcome to AFF Foreigner :D . There is a heap of knowledge on this board, and luckily people are happy to help with their expertise/ experience. Unfortunately I know noth'in about QF, but others certainly do. Post your questions and you & others can learn :D .

Is a visa required for TPE?

for australian passport holders, you'll be allowed up to 14 days with on the spot visa stamp
Thank you for that information ioki.

I have Australian passport but due to nature of award booking, have to move forward in <24 hours, will only be staying 1 night in TPE! So 14 day visa more than enough.

I've visited all of your prospective destinations on several occasions. PM if you like for hotel etc recommendations.

Thanks for the offer BlacKnox. I will PM you if/when this becomes a reality. Ideally I would like to stay as close as possible to airport, for quick getaway, with a taxi/bus/train visit into the city if time permits.

As you know eg. BKK it's often better (& cheaper & more fun) to stay away from the airport. I'm extraordinarily busy now so I simply offer this advice - think out of the box - double meaning intended :P .
