Award code questions

I have an award flight coming up in First. The award code is PBP. At one stage it reverted to just P for a few hours and then reverted back to PBP.

My questions are, what does PBP mean and is it different to just plain old P?

The fare basis for Classic Awards is PBP, UBP, ZBP & XBP for First, Business, Premium Economy & Economy respectively.
