About 10 days ago I booked award tix on JQ for 2 pax.

The pending transaction on my credit card showed the correct amount...let's call it $500.

A couple of days later a $250 charge was added and that cleared.

The original pending charge of $500 hung around for about 10 days and was gone this morning.

I can see on checkmytrip and by re-sending the itinerary from Qantas.com that both pax are ticketed / have a ticket number.

What is likely to happen here? Will they reconcile this and charge the second ticket later? Any chance it will cancel even though ticketed?

I've noticed a similar thing for flights that I booked on the weekend. Strange.

Many years ago I had purchased 2x QF award flights from Singapore to Brisbane. On checking in we were asked to move to another desk. It seems the taxes for these flights had never been paid. It took forever for someone to come and sort it out and take our CC. From then on I always checked. Never had it happen again after many more award bookings over the years.

Actually I think the last time I booked a JQ award using QF points we were unable to check-in. It turned our payment was $1 short!

The charge for the second ticket just posted...so nearly a month after the original pre-auth dropped off.
