I have been an AwardWallet Plus subscriber for over a decade. Just received this email:

We are writing to let you know that the price of AwardWallet Plus will be increasing to $49.99 per year on December 18, 2024.

We are truly grateful for your support over the years. As one of our very early customers, we’ve kept your subscription cost at $10 per year—even as the price of AwardWallet Plus increased for new subscribers. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to offer this discount going forward.

This change helps us ensure the security and reliability of the product we all love and allows us to invest in improvements and exciting new features. Rest assured that you won't be paying more for just the same product—we think you're going to enjoy what's coming.

I still find this a useful tool to keep track of the points in my various accounts, but to be honest I get much less use from it now compared to 5-10 years ago because I've had to disable automatic login with many of my accounts. I've done this after AwardWallet login attempts caused me to get locked out of a couple of my FF accounts. Some airlines, including United, have also blocked AwardWallet from accessing account details.

I think I'll let my paid membership lapse when it comes up for renewal.

Got the same email the other day.

I didn’t see any long term member offer from this just a jump inline with everyone else.

I will it lapse and if the new features are good then go premium again.

My email arrived on Monday and I meant to post similar ......... also in the same pondering situation. At $10 USD/month, it was quite useful. I was tracking for myself and Mrs FB, plus my folks. It has been useful, especially for the folks accounts.

I'm currently tracking 44 accounts, most of them do continue to actively work. $50/year is still a saving and works out to $12.50 per person..... but........ I'm still undecided. It has saved a few points from expiring each year I've had it, so there is is value perhaps. You can still downgrade to free and do it more manually.
I'm not clear on the meaning "Up to 3 expirations", does that mean it'll only track expiry for 3 accounts?

If you downgrade to free now and renew early, the $50 sub is reduced to $30.

I have until February to decide:
The new price will take effect automatically when your membership renews on 14/02/2025.

If you prefer to cancel AwardWallet Plus, you can do that here.

Or...... now, if I want the $30 promo price. Or...... play a game of chicken and see what they start offering if/when lots of people decide to just drop the sub completely. 3 months for that.

I paid US$10 per year, now will be US$49.99 per year...will let it lapse I think

I thought the $10 US price was grandfathered for earlier subscribers?
That was the claim.

$30 i could maybe deal with. One of the features I have been using is the flight delay alerts. I think my money would be better put into TripIT which I am currently on the free tier.

Current offer
Enjoy TripIt Pro for US$24 for 1 year as a benefit of TripIt. (After 1 year, you may choose to renew at the then-current TripIt Pro price or cancel

I can’t justify $50 US a year, given that most programs don’t have expiries, unless there is no activity. The fact they offered a grandfathered price and then increase it 500% is absurd. I use TripIt (basic) and like you would rather pay for a subscription to that with all the other features including points tracker pro and flight delay.

Just turned off auto-renewal.

What will I lose?

The only thing I hope I don't lose is the notifications (email/phone) of expiring miles/awards..

Not really been using it for anything else
