I'm curious about the solo seats at rows 7 and 11 and where the door entry is in relation to the business class seating layout.
The seat maps on the VA web site still reflect the current seating layout. It would be nice if VA put up the new seat layouts as well for the 777-300.
I'm not very good with cutting and pasting images into a seat map but I've had a good look at the A332 configs (ex EK, the angled lie flat, and "The Business") and then looked at the advertised seat maps in this thread plus the current 77W seat map, and the images of the cabins at the time of launch and this is what I've come up with as a possible seat map:
Between Doors 1L/R and 2L/R will be rows 1 through 7, 1K doesn't exist due to the forward lav (the ladies one) and 7K doesn't exist due to the aft Lav as both lav's already exist in the current floor plan and 5 seats would/should fit in this space. The Bar service area will then take the space in 7D,G with the bar itself being at the 2L/R entry foyer with seating for pax in the foyer itself. My basis for this thinking is that they fitted 5 rows of the new seats in the space of the 4 rows of angled lie flat on the A332's, and with the extra length in the 77W cabin this should extend to allow for 7 rows of "The Business" in the forward section on the left hand side of the cabin.
This would lead to the aft J cabin being Rows 8 through 11 with no 11D,G due to Galley space for the rear J and W cabins, and 11K will be an additional lav for J class. A bulkhead splits J from W and W will have 3 rows of 8 seats, plus the pantry and a dedicated Lav.
The only bit that I can't work out with my theory is why there is no 20 A,B,C or D,F,G in the Y cabin. Perhaps 20 A,B,C is the W class Lav?? D,F,G then would be a walk through maybe for crew and Y pax to change aisles as this isn't an exit station.
Anyway, it's fun to guess!
Cheers,
Boof
