Wonder if anyone has had this experience recently as I have booked a QF reward from SYD-SIN in BA J connecting to SIN-DXB-BCN in EK J. All one ticket booked through QF, with a 3.5 hour layover in SIN. Will BA check my luggage all the way through to BCN? EF states BA may interline to EK but trying to figure out if I'll have to go through immigration in SIN. Cheers.

I ran into this problem in 2019 where EK couldn't check me through to BA on 1 ticket (QFF redemption) so I had to collect bags at AMS, clear immigration and re-check at the BA counter. The EK staff said it was a BA issue in that they were being difficult and uncooperative with EK for some reason.

You will need to collect and re-check. EK was the one that decided to be difficult - they did a dummy spit and tore up the BA/EK interline agreement because BA and QR got into bed with each other.

Ah, was worried this would be the case. Thanks for the clarification.
At least SIN is a relatively easy place to “enter” and quickly “exit” again. eGates in/out now. Just check prior to arrival if there’s any pre arrival online entry hoops and jumps.
