I was just reading the article, how sad for everyone involved, can't imagine what the parents and the passenger are going though. :(

Terrible indeed.

Sadly it seems SIDS is still somewhat random.

In my sister's mother's group had a similarly aged baby who passed away suddenly at a cafe, where the mother was catching up with friends, one of them a doctor

Such an awful time for everyone involved and the parents must be in such distress. I can’t imagine their grief. And shock for the other passengers.

Totally a non expert but I’m not sure SIDS was in play here and that there may be complicating issues.

Such a terrible thing to happen.

I can't imagine how hard it would have been (and still would be) for everyone involved.

Something not right - Captain and passenger discussing diversion.

Normally onboard medical assistance is first aid, data gathering and then ground based medical services assist Captain to decide on flight destination. Onboard medicos/passengers should not be the ones telling the Captain to divert.

Does D7 have a contract with one of the worldwide airline medical services like MedAire?
