"We want to enhance our reward programme for Executive Club Members".

Not really what you want to see on a Friday afternoon, or ever really - regarding a loyalty program. Enhancements are never good. However, with the realignment of the earning year and the change in how you earn Avios, the writing already seems to be on the wall for going for a revenue based qualification. Hopefully not, but let's see.

Unfortunately the link is dead and they haven't actually opened up the discussion yet.

It’s often a known tactic not only with BA but other airlines to sometimes “seduce” lower tier members with cheap or free upgrades to get them “hooked”. Bring silver, you’re already on the wagon.

They've done POUG and AUP for many years, over a decade. So, I'm not sure what you mean by this?

@lameyofth is referring to operational upgrades. It's often complained about by golds and above that BA will upgrade a silver or bronze to allow a lower tier member to "sample" a higher cabin to encourage spend-up.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
