Bankwest to cut earn rates

To have the points slashed by 50% is enough to send me packing. I'm pretty disappointed with Bankwest is this is no go to spend card.

Monday is the last day for a decent points earn on the BW World. It was not a bad card whilst it lasted.

I'll hold on to mine until the annual fee comes up again. But unless the market swings significantly it will not be renewed - current idea is to swap to zero platinum to keep the forex free overseas spend.

Same here, I'll keep using it till the fee is due and cancel. I don't see any difference between the Bankwest zero platinum and the 28 degrees card of which I have the latter so I'll just start using that again.

World is behind Qudos now but it is easier on foreign transactions and large payments.

Same. I think I will swap to Zero Platinum and then get the Jetstar MC for 1pt/$ earn at non-Amex merchants.

My next World BW card will cost $220 next renewal and will not be worth it. What is this Zero Plat people are mentioning? Does it get points? Forex fees as good as the W BW card?

World is still a great card. It has merely slipped behind Qudos and US Citi at the moment but it is still a keeper for us.

I think you use it very much more than I am able and sadly, it will prove to not pay for itself.

Yes that is possible GMOH. I may sometimes have some pretty big stuff to pay from the office and we run more than one dwelling. This month was unusual as I paid some largish bills early to get the point per dollar for Mrscove.
