I am a little surprised BA copped the "worst" tag, no doubt something to do with the current uncertainty, Sq winning is not too much of a surprise, the survey did cover other routes etc:

British Airways is Australia's least favourite airline to fly to the UK | News.com.au

"IT once ran an advertising campaign claiming to be the "the world's favourite airline", but Australians have voted British Airways their least favourite for travel to the UK.
The airline finished bottom of a customer satisfaction survey by consumer group Choice, with domestic carrier Qantas also scoring poorly for its service to the UK.

British Airways was criticised for having poor in-flight service, with staff branded rude and confrontational.

The airline also scored poorly for its food, leg room and seat comfort.

Qantas fared little better in the survey of 9000 Choice members, finishing third from bottom in a table of 11 carriers to the UK.

Singapore Airlines was rated best carrier to the UK......."

Choice updated their article two weeks ago, here is the link with more details:

Always a little wary of choice surveys, but this doesn't seem to far off the mark. Interesting the two worst performers - with a rating of 50% were BA to Thailand (with only a small sample size), and United to the US (with a reasonable sample size) - I guess no surprises in the last one, given everyone else as PTVs and AVOD - vs main screen entertainment.

9000 does not seem to be a very big sample size for what is being looked at. Choice members are only a small cross section of what you are looking at, so really it is a broad survey that really doesn't mean much does it?

Spot on, some of the samples are <50 for some destinations.

Not very surprised that SQ tops all the lists. They are a fine airline to fly.

Also not awfully surprised to see QF on or near the bottom of all the lists. The picking point seems to be price (i.e. value for money); the free comments also project a serious problem overall with QF customer service.

I think it is also noticed how an airline which flies new aircraft has a distinct advantage over those that fly older ones, irrespective of the level of upkeep (as long as that is reasonably equal). I mean, VA is easily a winner because of their new fleet; not helping that QF still fly lots of 744s across the Pacific (even if they don't fall out of the sky).
