Recently had the best business class flight of our lives on Air France CDG to HEL.
My wife wasn't real happy when I explained the Euro Business concept to her for the above flight as we have had three F and a J flight on Qatar recently.
"What do you mean, you can't lie flat? It's actually in an "economy seat?" were some of her initial statements to me.
I've obviously spoiled her too much and her standards are a little high so I was not really looking forward to this flight on an A220-300.
We got 1A and C so I hoped she could see that they were pretty much the best seats we could get.
Well, it's all about service and we had the best CSM I've ever had on a flight.
We were greeted onboard like long lost relatives and he personally put our substantial carry on luggage into the overhead lockers.
Any spare moment he had he was interacting and joking with us and was almost constantly paying us attention.
He showed me the champagne he was going to serve us even before we took off and said he would make sure it was "on ice"
During takeoff he spoke to myself and my wife the whole time and as soon as we hit cruising the champagne was brought out then the dinner which was as plated as well as you could get for a Euro Business flight.
He opened the three tray tables across our two seats, set up the dinner with the champagne glasses and the champagne bottle on the middle seat table with our dinners on the other seat tables and proceeded to take photos of us with my wife's I phone.
Offered extra desserts and gave us chocolates beyond the standard serve.
Take as many as you like he said.
My wife had a cup of tea.
He brought out a box of teas for her to choose from and then handed her the box.
Again he said take as many as you like.
Our glasses never got empty and the tray tables were cleared as soon as we finished.
For the rest of the flight he regularly checked on us to see if there was anything else he could do.
Upon arrival he took down our bags from the overhead locker and shielded us from other passengers to make sure we were first off the plane.
I have passed feedback on to Air France to commend his exceptional service.
So what was my wife's first Euro Business flight experience and I just hope she doesn't expect that level of service every time. 😂

It’s great to hear people talking about good experiences on planes as opposed to awful ones. Well done for posting.

As AF sometimes has very competitive fares on its recently recommenced MNL-CDG route (the best fares are to LHR or other European cities), this is useful feedback even though its a Schengen journey. Well posted.

Yes its pretty smart in AF Euro J, partic when your comparison yardstick is BA..

I had a great flt from Porto to CDG last year in the 220 - quiet, great big windows and a very good dinner with champagne. Nothing pushed, just well served. Whole thing was only lessened by the fact I knew AF hadnt loaded my bag.
