Best Carry On Suitcase?

I am up for a new carry on suitcase. Looking at my old favourite Samsonite but open to other options. Any suggestions, that are airline compliant, super light, easy access to laptop, can carry enough clothes for a few days, tough, wheels work etc.

Its a very subjective question, but if you're still fond of Samsonite, why not look into their 72hrs DLX 55cm carry-on. Its super light under 2kgs, but its not the sturdiest of suitcases, the compromise for the light-weight.

I find it also depends on which airlines you intend to fly on a particular trip, as different airlines have different size/weight restrictions for carry-ons. I flew Thai Lion Air recently, for example, and they only allow very small carry-ons (40 x 30 x 20 cm) without significant extra charge.

So I have several, all backpacks or wheelie backpacks, which I find to be the most convenient (and lightest), irrespective of the terrain you will have to cross on any given trip, and it can vary widely.

Have traveled extensively locally & RTW for a few years using Pacsafe 45L Venture Safe backpack. Found it to be secure, durable, comfortable & meets carry-on luggage dimensions if not over-packed. Check out reviews online to consider if it will meet your requirements.

I have a Lojel which is certainly a great looking and light bag. It's really roomy. It's two flaws for me are that it's too big to be used as a carry on as I frequently fly on a Dash-8 route and that the laptop sleeve does not fit my 15'6 gaming laptop. If those two things are not a consideration I would def recommend it.

I've just bought a Samsonite Bleisure which I'm eagerly awaiting and looks extremely well set up for organisation. While it's roomy it sneaks in just under the size requirements for the Dash-8. I sometimes prefer a backpack style.
