Hi All,

I'm a very infrequent poster here so please bear with me and my questions.

Late last year I snagged a couple of the cheap tickets that popped up to fly MEL-BKK-NBO-KGL return on KQ and TG. As a first time J flyer I'm hoping for some lounge choice advice so I don't just blindly go where I'm told and miss the possible better options. From what I can see these are the best options for us at each airport there and back, but would love any other tips. I'm guessing that because the first leg of the flight is with TG we will be able to access Star alliance lounges?

Melbourne - Air New Zealand lounge
Bangkok - Royal Silk ( + Royal Orchid Spa )
Nairobi - Kenya Airways Pride Lounge
Kigali - RwandaAir Dream Lounge

Thank you very much, and will happily take any other pro tips of things to make life easier for newbie J flyers.

In BKK, if you are flying TG back to MEL, you are spoilt for choice with star alliance lounges!
Personally, I would go for the EVA air lounge!

Unfortunately the Royal Orchid Spa at BKK is closed. The EVA Air lounge is good though, as others have said. You should be able to use that on the way back to MEL, but not sure if the KQ codeshare flight numbers would make a difference given Kenya Airways is in SkyTeam?

From last year, but we did a bit of lounge hop through the various Star lounges at BKK. As I remember, depending upon your flight timings, EVA may get busy at times, but both SQ and TK lounges are great alternatives

Not good news....

Oh dear... Nothing for us yet, but not a great sign...

Thanks, that looks great!

Ah that's sad! Yeah I wasn't sure on the codeshare. I guess we'll just try and see what happens.
