Presumably you mean 71D.

The hatch is an emergency escape from the crew rest area.

CC normally access this via a stair behind the bulkhead in front of 66G/F/E/D.

Thanks Serfty. I did mean 71 D.

I didn't realise it was an escape hatch. I had visualised some sort of stairway when the hatch was open. I'm yet to fly on a QF 388 (only EK).

11K upstairs front window. Good if you want to be social as very close to red sofa/ bar area. 1st served for meals/ bubbles
