I’m a bigger guy and usually fly up the pointy end but I’m having to fly jetstar for the first time in a while.
Looking at the new neo seat map has anyone flown Row 28?

It seems like the best bet to ensure I’m less likely to encroach on others? Anyone flown on this row or have any other suggestions?

I think these seats may not recline, if that's a consideration for you.

Just flew on the this type for the first time the other day.
Not much in the way of width, so I would suggest 28B or E as you could 'spill' over to the vacant spot next to you.

Hi all, reviving this thread because these are the seats I'm looking at for a family of 4 with both kids under 10) travelling to Bali and their first time travelling internationally. What's the deal with the outboard seats here?

Could this be a good option so we don't annoy too many others?

If it's anything like BA's 321 Neos, they're pretty ordinary seats IMO. Close together and near to the seats in front, with no window (the kids might not like that). BA regards them as exit row, but they are nothing special. If you were travelling alone then seats 29A and 29F would be the ones to go for, and the occupants of those seats would be spreading out into the space next to the window.

Thanks for the reply. I just took a look at the BA seat map for the 321neo and think the configuration is different. Jetstar’s 321neo are all economy class and hence they manage to squeeze in an additional 2 rows.

On the Jetstar A321-200neo the space where 28A and 28F would be, are rear facing crew seats with the seat having a fold up position when unoccupied by crew. These crew seats will stay unoccupied most of the flight except for takeoff and landing.

As others have mentioned, seats 28B, 28C and 28D & 28E do not recline at all because of the exit row behind. All of row 27 can recline, so this makes the Row 28 seats pretty bad in my opinion and especially for longer overnight flight where literally everyone can recline into your space and Row 28 can't recline. If you have claustrophobia, like seeing out a window or want to use a laptop computer then I would avoid Row 28 myself, especially so for an overnight redeye from Bali to Australia.

Not sure if a last minute substitution from the planned A321-200neo to a A321-200ceo is possible or likely, but it is one thing to be aware of, if it happens, as the A321-200neo and A320-200ceo have different configurations.

Can you please advise if 18c is exit row as I just paid extra $39 each way and search guru doesn't show this.
Did it show up as an exit row on the JQ website when you added the seats?

That might be the more official seating plan for now, I guess, assuming that's the A321neo setup they're showing there but not the A321 (non-neo).

What I would like to know is just how different their seating plan is on the original A321 compared to the newer A321neo... seating plan – I sound like the teacher there (lol)! :D

Are they only using the A321neos on international flights, or also on longer interstate flights (i.e. MEL-CNS or SYD-PER)?

A side thought: are seats 28A and 28F simply empty space? Why might that be?

I saw in row 29 today on the neo. Both 28B and E had lots of empty space beside each seat. Leg room looked less than ideal and B would be the better side as no crew seat. As a bigger guy myself I’m not sure the extra room sideways would offset the legroom.

Yes door iscin front that's right
