Best seats on the Jetstar A321neo

SYD - RAR flights are tough on larger people so the exit rows are well worth pre-purchasing.

For example, row 29 has all the room in the world!

I took a happy snap to post here but it seems that my phone accidentally deleted the picture. Darn, we'll have to go again!

We booked 1A/1B because it's extra leg room but for the return leg only 1E/1F is available and only promoted as upfront seat. Do they still have more leg room?

Otherwise I am tending to book select 19 or 29 even though I prefer sitting upfront.

Yes it’s the same. I don’t know why they don’t charge extra for 1DEF. I’ve never understood it as it’s the same.

I think it’s a loophole that they have never come across. Jetstar Japan charge as an exit row on 1DEF on the A321Neo. Plus Jetstar on its A320s in 1DEF don’t charge as an exit row, it’s Singapore and Japan offshoots do.

Yes, I do think they've missed this from a charging perspective, but they definitely regard it as an exit row, because when I book 1F, it asks if I am qualified to sit in an exit row.

Strange, but shhh, don't give them any ideas...

One thing that came to my mind: ABC is probably open and you have the door/entry, but DEF could have a wall in front of you but still more legroom. I've seen this before but cannot remember which airline and plane.

I understand very old A320s don’t have the wall in front of ABC, I think there is only about 3/4 left.

The A321s that didn’t have the wall at ABC went to Qantas as Freighter conversions.

I prefer the wall, without the wall people hang around for the bathroom and impede your space, at least the wall keeps them out.
