Best sim option for coughet?

Travelling next week, staying 5 nights near Patong. Unlocked phone. Advice needed - best place to buy a temp sim from? At airport? (don't wish to use current Telstra Australian sim over there) Suggestions appreciated.

Ps. Low volume traffic expected. More for emergencies and a link back to Oz than anything else.

I've used TrueMove when I've been in coughet previously, their 4G service is pretty good. Been a while since I've been there but you used to be able to get them at the airport then top up the credit at a 7-Eleven (plenty in Patong). 7-Eleven also sell the SIM's in Patong if you can wait until you get there.

Thanks Wayne, sounds like a good way to go. Also, how did you go getting into the lounge in coughet? (We are on Silkair metal, VA code-shared and I'm Platinum and my wife is Red). Virgin staff are a bit obscure and Singapore Airlines say it's a different carrier, even though they own Silkair.) How have you fared as a Gold member?

I flew back to Bangkok last time I was there so didn't get to use the lounge. I understand you can get into the SIA lounges in Singapore and KL if you're on SilkAir so at least worth a try.

Yeah, I hear it's really small, so it may well be at the discretion of the desk staff - dependent on how full they are. Thanks for the reply.
