Trying to work out where to transfer my Amex Reward points to get best value for upcoming USA trip. We have redeemed Virgin points to get to LAX, then will drive to San Fran before flying to New York and down to Miami. Ideal would be to find a one way award that allows a stopover but cant seem to find any programs that allow this for domestic US. Other options are open jaw on departure city or obviously just 2 x one way awards. Would look at Bus / First for the SFO to NYC and could handle economy for the NYC to Miami. Would appreciate some advice on the best value for this itinerary from anyone familiar with the US domestic programs
Also - any advice on what airlines have best planes / seats for the transcontinental leg?
