can someone share the trick with me please? I would like to feel the love too..
One other benefit of lifemiles. In January we are flying RGN-SIN.You can't buy or redeem this flight through SQ.But I was able to get it as a LM award.
Thanks VAG newbie. I had forgotten about SPG.
I am hoping to get a booking in J from PER to SIN and Suites from SIN to HKG sometime in the next 13 months so this will help a fair bit. Just sweating on the official Velocity transfer announcement now as 1.35 seems almost too reasonable.
I have not yet received a PM from anyone detailing 'the trick' mentioned, any chance someone has received it and could forward it on?
Have they made the announcement already? Where did you hear that? If it's 1.35:1, then you don't need my trick. Better pay ATO
To be announced tomorrow
1.35 VA = 1 KF
1.35 KF = 1 VA
Not yet, this was mentioned yesterday in the thread on the transfer in the Virgin section. So we may know today.

You are right and it is all guesswork until the official announcement, but thanks for the ideas.
I have plenty of time to get it sorted but am rather looking forward to the Krug.
Well the rumour has been proved at least half right!
Looks like I'm a man of little faith! But as I posted in the other thread, VA points is not as useless as many of us think.
So I guess the other way to quickly rack up KF points is to collect VA points now especially it's so easy to earn in Australia. Definitely paying ATO as I suggested above is the quickest and best way to earn! But also consider those sign up bonuses, not necessarily credit cards, but foxtel, lumo energy all give good sign up bonus for VA. At 1.35:1 ratio, it's pretty good!
Although I'm still pessimistic, if the traffic from VA to KF is much higher, they might put a cap or worsen the ratio.
But if you transfer star points to KF points at 20000 point, you get bonus 5000 points. So it comes down to about 2.1c per KF miles.
It's 2.1c USDHow did you end up at 2.1c per KF mile? 20,000 Starwood points (25,000 after transfer) is $525 USD or $605.38 AUD at todays exchange rate which = 2.4c per mile.
Hi VAG,
New bee here
I have Citibank signature card with over $10k limit.
Could you please let me know tricks on Krisflyer or Emirates points or Velocity?
Cheers
Santosh
It's not really ideal to make miles with a signature card as the return isn't high enough.
