At this price point I like Cloudy Bay Sav Blanc ( my favourite Cloudy Bay is Te Koko but nowhere close to that price point)

I love Te Koko - though I love them more when they've been put away for a couple of years to age as they taste very young straight off the shelf (mind you i'm not fussy!)

Matua Valley 'Sparkles' sparkling Sauv Blanc NV.

Bought a case of 6 through GraysOnline for AUD90.00 but I'm sure most places would sell it.

Agree with other posters re Shaw & Smith SSB. It was served in J on QF dom a while back but have had it recently as well.

[h=1]Deutz Marlborough Cuvée Brut[/h]What they say:
A successful venture between the Deutz champagne house and Montana of NZ. Fine and elegant, it shows complex flavours with lovely yeastiness and a long finish. Perfect for any occasion, this famous NZ Cuvée goes from strength to strength

What I say:
A very nice drop - champagne style from NZ - it amazes me how it can be such a good price over here ($16.90 at Dan Murphys)

I too suggest Jansz for the sparkling or one of the Taltani ones which are quite good.

For whites i would suggest Skillogalee Clare Valley Riesling, Tar & Roses Pinot Grigio or Hewitson Adelaide Hills Sav Blanc. All available at DM's.

You may need to buy a bottle of your short listed wines and test them ... Yes, you must suffer as its part of your duty as wine selector.
