LOL !! Good one MarkD - this thread has become WAY too serious, has some interesting definitions of selfishness and consideration for others.

As an aside you DO have to have thick skin on this forum, but back to the off-topic topic of recliners. I don't think anyone has an issue with an exhausted Y pax trying to get a few hours of precious sleep - it is the habitual recliners who just do it because they can that annoy me and others. Psychologists would call this an example of overcompensating or misguided entitlement, I just think it is just the result of poor upbringing.
Some of us don't have the luxury of being able to fly J (I wish I did!) and the hours I work - that's my job, nothing I can do to change it - but being called a *moron* because I recline my seat on a short hope when totally exhausted, rather childish IMO. . . . .
I'm expected to be understanding of everyone else' needs, yet mine are totally unimportant and should be ignored? Guess my interpretation of the word "tolerance" is very different to that of others on this forum. . . . . .![]()
this has nothing to do with reclining seats, but you should've seen ten's coverage of the F1 melbourne GP in the qantas lounge backdrop. you needed silver+ to get into the lounge, and all these freaking bogans were acting like tools on national TV, taking pictures, calling their mates (hey i'm on TV!), giving each other antenna ears. I'd cringe to discover they are gold or platinum FF'ers. in fact, it downright pisses me off!![]()

money doesn't buy class,
Two things -
1 money doesn't buy class,
2 there are a lot of PS \ SG \ WP and WP1's out there who are FIFO for typically blue collar jobs, they earn the big $, they earn the big FF points \ SC's but see point number 1.
I know a number of FIFO people who have a lot more class than a suited WP DYKWIA type. Given the choice, I'd much rather have a beverage at the pub with the first lot.
My point being - stereotypes are bad.
