I have earned 5520 QFF status credits since Apr 30 2012 and am looking for something beyond WP1. While I understand there is nothing I'd be interested in knowing here there are others here easily passing the WP1 threshold.

I think the usual advice would be to start crediting to another OW program (e.g. AA).

I split my travel so that domestically I fly DJ, with a couple of international trips with EY crediting to DJ, to secure partner platinum for MrsH and the bulk of my international with QF/OW crediting to QF.

I'm already Platinum with DJ and equal status with a couple of others. All Int travel is business and 75% of domestic. WP1 is good, I like the services but hope for more (don't we all).

Have you an Lifetime Status? 5½K LT SC is well on the way to LT PS and over a thirs of LT SG.

I'm not sure what CL offers. Like I said, I'm happy at WP1 but will pass 7,000 SC by anniversary.

Is there any prospect of QF creating lifetime WP? It seems to me that there is a big cliff once you reach LTG, especially if you reach WP early in your status year; it almost encourages you to transfer your patronnage to alternative carriers to pursue their loyalty status pegs. I once heard a QF spokeswoman flag the idea of lifetime WP but perhaps the modelling didn't support it, especially given all the flighting by FIFOs these days whose travel with QF is both incidental and non-discretionary (ie not much need to work hard to retain loyalty when there are no other providers on those routes). Any thoughts?

Depending on whether you fly much in Asia (and I'm assuming you fly in F or J), you should look to put miles into SQ (or at least fly SQ and credit miles to another *A carrier). SQ will credit you for the $ of premium cabin flight even if miles credited elsewhere, and their PPS status is well worth having - good perks. PPS comes after $25k per membership year as long as the $ goes to premium cabin.

Depends if there is a travel policy in place limiting options?

Behind quite a few WP's & WP1's is a CL directing travel budget:!:

In my case I own the company and direct the travel budget. Around $550K a year on air travel. No account manager though. I do my own bookings, my COO does his own and one of our admin team handles all others. The travel is around $350K in Australia and $200K internationally.

Until recently the question used to be "what's beyond WP"?. Now we have WP1 that's not good enough.

I do wonder why QF limits loyalty bonuses to 4 per year though.

I think QF needs to consider another lever above Platinum One.

Why? Clearly vanilla Platinum level is way too high and needs to be put in it's rightful place....
