Hi Guys,

For no reason other than: 1. I love to fly and 2. status run for Qantas Frequent flyer, I decided to make this same day turnaround from Bangkok to Taipei and back again.

I had only just arrived from Melbourne to Bangkok quite late the night before so I was pretty exhausted by the end of this day!

As I have already uploaded all the pics (there is LOADS of them) and the report to my blog, please read them there.

Appreciate all comments!

Flight 1: TG634 Bangkok to Taipei

Flight 2: CX511 Taipei to Hong Kong

Flight 3: CX703 Hong Kong to Bangkok

Thanks for reading

enjoyed reading that, well done, very easy to read with great pics!

Excellent TR, and lovely photos to boot. We did this SC run over a month ago, so it definitely brings back many memories! ;)

nice read dazz81! Those CX J flights, what was the approx cost?

CX have J specials ex-Taipei to South East Asia, they are not always available. Price varies from AU$500-$700 return. You get more value in SC's to go to SIN or KUL or MNL but since I live part-time in Bangkok, It was more useful for me to fly there.

Thanks dazz81

Really enjoyed reading your 3 part TR.
It was interesting getting the comparisons of both airlines.

Quite enjoyed your TR, now the important part: How many SC's? and what was the $ per SC ratio?

200 SC's, $600 = $3 / SC

You can do better with other destinations. ex-tpe
