I currently have just under 1.2 million velocity points. Been stashing for Cananda trip 2023 (now canned) and Europe trip in 2025. Are you tempted to use 'Pay with Points' to pay for your flights? Yes, it would be ~2-3 million points per business class round trip to London, but you can fly any date you want without having to worry about classic flight reward availability. If I had high points generation from business spend, I probably would. Life is too short to chase classic flight reward availability unless you absolutely have to.

My current earn is around 1.5m per month so they build fast, I can't spend more than I earn on travel and accommodation but I still can't bring myself to use them in the reward store though.
