I want to know where you're getting your water from. Everytime I've bought a bottle from a 7-11 or supermarket there, it's been between 7 and 13 baht a bottle.
Sorry going back I was doing as I do for mrsdrron-first divide by 10 then 3.So it should be normally 10-15B now 30B.
Sorry.Getting old you know!

Just to update from today's BKK papers. The government has released extra water pumps, the Royal Irrigation Dept has been ordered to start using all theirs.
Also there are some pics of planes taking off from BKK over flood waters in the international media-it is actually a reservoir that has always been there.

Video taken Nov 6 from Ladprao shows flooding all over the place....I sometimes go here to shop!!

Will this level of water continue down to the inner city or have they finally stopped the flow? Ladprao is the start of the BTS Sukhumvit line!

Just wondering if any member has stayed in central Bangkok in last few days. How is flooding?
Have booked family for BKK on 17 Dec. Plan to stay in Sheraton, Hilton or similar.
I know it's still 4 weeks away but just trying to get a feel for situation.

p.s.

Flying Jetstar "business" class and paid cash not points (ouch!), so will critically evaluate product upon return!!!

I left BKK last week and the water had already started to recede. People have now started to dismantle the defences.
If you’re just staying in the centre there should be no problem at all by Dec 17 and, hopefully, beer supplies will have returned to normal.
I would expect some residual pockets of water around the outskirts though.

I was there on the 20th, central BKK is fine. As stated the only threat is the lack of Singha beer. Other brands are available.
