Thursday ? AFAIK, July 15th 2007 is next Sunday

FWIW, E/F is showing zero availability for all airlines in all classes on all flights between SIN and SYD on that date.

That is the one. I had a senior moment well before my time. ;)

Wow! Almost a full flight.

So much for op-ups!

Can anyone interpret the seat availability on BA16 for December 8th? Am I reading it correctly that there is only 8 WHY seats for sale, subject to overbooking of course?

BA16 SYD-SIN 8 December
Cabin class: F3 A2 J9 C9 D9 I7 Y8 B6 H6 K6 M4 R2

QF319 SYD-SIN 8 December
Cabin class: F9 A0 J9 C9 D9 I9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M0 R0 L0

I am in WT+ and still waiting for that elusive long haul op-up after almost 3 years in the wilderness....

I would guess a few more than 8 seats, but looks like a busy flight, as expected at that time of the year, a little later in Dec on EF looking for a guy at work we saw a whole lot of EK flights F0 J0 Y0 not a seat free (except maybe the reserves the airline keeps)

Also some QF9 / QF10 flights are also full 100% in Y and still have D9 ! so they would seem like good op-up flights.

Very low availability in WT+, chance of an op-up goes from 1000-1 to at worst 50-1. (Note the F cabin availability is low, don't forget that often Yield managemnt expect to op-upgrade ½ a dozen J pax to F, WT+ PAX to J etc ...)

Looks good with still over 2 months to go before flight. I wasn't sure about WT+ availability as they are not shown using the free tools.

Now I can only hope that any potential op-ups are based on my status and allocated seat rather than luck.

December 8th is the start of school holidays for may schools in some states. I am not surprised bookings are heavy, especially in Y.

CX has always upgraded me whenever I have flown with them, as Serfty said, they usually treat Oneworld members very well.

This is now starting to look real good for someone.

BA16 SYD-SIN 8 December
Cabin class: F3 A2 J9 C9 D9 I7 Y2 B2 H1 K1 M1 R1

QF319 SYD-SIN 8 December
Cabin class: F9 A0 J9 C9 D9 I9 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 R0 L0

Looks like I have managed to book the right flight. Keeping fingers crossed without getting too excited. Oh the agony....

Still looking OK, but things change. With flight like these, Yield Management tend to regularly update the fare bucket availability:

(From E/F):

BA016 - ... I7 W6 T1 Y6 B4 H2 K0 ...
QF319 - ... D9 Y9 B0 ...

One month down the track and there are now more WHY seats available.

Could someone with ExpertFlyer please post availability for BA16 SYD-SIN on 8 December and BA9 BKK-SYD on 23 December?

Thanks. Interesting that WT+ availability on BA16 has increased as well.

At least WT+ availability on BA9 looks wide open. Perhaps I can put off purchasing BKK-SYD return tickets for another week or so....

Best to get a seat while you can me thinks. If you book via a TA you can usually hold a seat in T for 5 days.

I will be away on and off for a week, so trying not to worry about booking just yet. If worse comes to worse there is always JQ Starclass from KUL or BKK for only $2400 return and amazing that is only $1000 more expensive than BA WT+ from BKK!

Yes but every Thai travel agent I have emailed has quoted a price more expensive than BA website.
