BlackBerry APP ?

Should AFF make a new BlackBerry App ?

Should Qantas Frequent Flyer / Qantas Make a new BlackBerry App ? ( Cathay Pacific has a very impressive BlackBerry APP)

Would love to know how many of you want a BlackBerry app. Personally I use both IPhone 4 and BB Pearl 9100 - will be getting rid of the IPhone 4 and getting a new BB.

Also awaiting the next Iphone.

But anyways lets stick to the question , BlackBerry APP's ? Is it A good idea ?

I personally think that a decent skin that plays to the strengths of each mobile platform would be more manageable than an app -- but I don't even know if there is a decent iDevice/BB/Android skin available for vBulletin. I'm probably also biased because I don't like my BB .. :p

The iPhone AFF app is pretty cool if you haven't used it yet; in saying that, there are quite a few features that I don't use and/or don't see the point of.

Do Qantas even have a BB App? I know that their iPhone app is mostly a waste of time.

I'm a BB user (9700) and really can't see myself using an app...it's not something that's important enough for me to read on the go, it's more something I read when I've got a spare 5 mins in front of my computer...just my 2c though.

BB user. An App would make the occasional busride to work more enjoyable...

BB user here as well (9000 looking to upgrade to 9780).

Just got the GF an Iphone 4 and the difference is marked. Easier surfing on the I-Phone but emails are a bit slow and tedious. BB kills it for email but slow with surfing.

I really don't think I need an AFF app and reading it on a small screen is a pain.

I think graph sums up how the market is going for Blackberry

I use a BlackBerry but haven't been bothered to use it for more than actually making calls, so old fashioned I know. Not interested in an App.

Yeah, I'm the same with my work-provided BB (though I use it to read emails as well).
It's weird - I'm a real nerd, and love gadgets, but I just can't get interested in phones.

The user manual remains firmly in the box it came in.

So 14 votes for BB and only 12 replies… I think someone is cheating the system here ;)

AFF has never had so many votes cast in a single day before :p

The Qantas mobile site works very well on my 9700 (OS5).

Come on Telstra and release the OTA uograde for OS6 which has a much improved webkit browser

We are currently investigation options for a Mobile Mode which can be used on a Blackberry. I'm wondering how many of our BlackBerry users use the standard BlackBerry 5 OS browser versus the Opera browser.

I'd appreciate it if you could PM me (or post on this thread, if you prefer):
1. What browser you use (standard BB or Opera)
2. If standard BB, you would consider moving to Opera to view AFF.

The reason for this is that it seems as though our new MobileMode doesn't currently render on the BlackBerry 5 OS browser (but it does on Opera and other Smart Phones) and I'm how many members this will impact.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

If I was still using OS 5 I would be using Opera Mini, however I find OS 6's browser much improved and easier to use and actually prefer it over Opera, but using this full site on that still takes about five or so seconds to render the page.

9700 OS5 - Standard BB
Locked down BES system so could not install opera if I wanted to

BB 0s 5 with Standard BB Browser.

I really really want a BB app by QF and AFF - Like the CX one.

I really love the CX BB app.

BB 9100. BB Browser.

I browse AFF to/from work on the bus.

Great for e-mail (for me), but for web the screen is just too small.

Thinking of getting an iPhone when the current contract l have expires, but by that time there will be something better on the market.
