Was just the talk about town earlier in the year - they're definitely not closing this year that's all another quick Google search revealed, but then could easily mean that they can close on Jan 1.

If the flight's been ticketed, doesn't that form a legal contract etc and whether you redeemed or paid in cash shouldn't really have an impact - then again I'm sure there are stories of how it actually does matter. If in doubt, get some travel insurance

Is there a little bit of confusion about the FF scheme and the airline?

AFAIK, the parent group (LH), were wanting to absord DC into M&M. This was postponed for at least 12 months as per the FT BD thread, bringing the end of DC to 31 Dec 11


The Airline was to remain seperate, like LX. Now if the LH group are looking to offload BD then thats a different story altogether.

I was referring to Diamond Club sorry, not bmi. I assumed they were going to operate separately like LX as you said alieninperth with M&M being bmi's FFP.

I was referring to bmi the airline, not their frequent flyer program. The seperation of the program might be on hold now with the latest news about the uncertain future of the airline.
