BNE Int'l lounge: J vs F?

All is well, sort of. Still suffering from man flu, but managed to nail a bottle of Shaw & Smith Sauvignon Blanc (didn't get the year....not that it would have made any difference) a G&T and three double Glenlivets...although I suspect the third was not quite a double. Hic.

Tony - why the flippety flip was someone like you flying an Intl flight out of BNE??? ;)

It's a long story involving a JASA and a FASA. (Oh for the sanctuary of 2K....still almost two and a half hours away.) [Actually the story is not that long....for some reason it is easier for me to get a JASA MEL-BNE-SIN and then a FASA SIN-LHR. Makes for a long journey but I have absolutely nothing better to do on this particular Sunday!!] :D

As a footnote I'm trying 2K out. I have written off the "A" side on the 380 because the middle seats look into the "A" side a bit too much for my liking. (I had 3F on an op-up and was a little surprised by the lack of privacy in 3A.)

Considering there is no F flights out of BNE on QF, is the FLounge just for Plats? / Could QF be holding on to it for a bit of 380 action?

For me, the breakfast selection is better in the JLounge that the OWELounge at BNE Intl. Recently on QF8 en route QF127 I was given very strange looks by staff when fecthing my pre breakfast - saving up for the FLounge in SYD - from th JLounge and carrying it into the OWELounge to meet the champagne!*

*I had been on the road since 0200, so 0600 was almost an acceptable time to have a little "something"

It's purely for Plats and OWE's. It's like the AKL lounge. QF have not had F services to/from NZ in some time, but the lounge remains. They've now pulled QF25/26 so they have nothing but NZ-AU flights now, and it still remains.
