My only problem with bulimia is the awful parking options.
And the fact I am compelled to regurgitate my food !!
My only problem with bulimia is the awful parking options.
Tongue-in-cheek deliberate misspelling? Parking isn't really that bad. Oxford Street itself can be awkward but there are plenty of side streets and no parking meters.
Jetty is nice, but we would need to book if that becomes the chosen venue.
I've only had coughtails at Byblos but have always heard good reports about the food. I have to disagree about the Belvedere. Mrs_O and I have a very poor experience there and walked out without having eaten. We ended up going to the little Mexican fast food place around the corner which was much more satisfying.

OK, here is an attempt to list out attendees (sorry, I don't understand the colour coding when it comes to events so I will just list yes/maybe)

I hope that is right, please correct if I am wrong.
Having only been to one AFF event (BNE drinks) I am loathed to take charge and decide on a venue, but as I mentioned up thread, Bulimba has ample choice to cover most flavours of food - Indian, Chinese, Turkish, Italian, Oxford 152 (local pub) and others. If anyone has any strong feelings about the type of food please post.
Go on Mr_Orange, you choose for us We trust you to get it right....
Okay Mr Orange I took one for the team & have booked the following:
Georges Paragon Restaurant
Level 1
45 Eagle Street
BRISBANE QLD 4000
Sat 12 July / 12 noon for 10 pax
Table booked under 'Australian Frequent Flyer'
Being CBD it is central for everyone to get to when we live in all directions. Closest train station is Central.
For those who are driving in you can get meter parking at Kangaroo Point near the Holman St Wharf then take the free city hopper ferry across the river to the Eagle Street Pier which is very close to the restaurant.
Meter parking is $1.60 per hour during the week but not sure if it's free on the weekends or not.
I now can't make it, as we have had to book the kids in for make up swimming sessions before and after their normal lessons, so I'll be at the pool from 9.45am to 12.45pm. No chance I'll make it in
Can I rsvp (late) for this event?
It's my mom's birthday but she's overseas so I should be able to make it...
Thanks for the update, ozbeachbabe.
It is a crock that restaurants "cannot" do separate bills, I think it is more that they can't be bothered! Especially if advised in advance. Grrrr.
